Beware the Lizard!

Oct 22, 2018

Auto insurance companies bombard you with talking lizards … promises to “forgive” you if you have an accident… actors wearing clean white smocks pledging you everlasting loyalty… and spokespersons with deep trusting voices. But the lizard and his friends don’t tell you important things that can make a huge difference if you need to use your insurance because you’ve been in an accident.

The ads don’t tell you that if you fail to file written notice of your auto claim within 30 days following the accident, the insurer can refuse to pay your medical bills — even if you called and told them, even they know all about the accident. The ads don’t tell you that your insurer can, and very often does, hire their own doctors to examine you and then stop payment of your medical bills because their doctor says you don’t need treatment — even if your doctor believes you still do.

If you are injured in an auto accident, don’t be at the mercy of the talking lizards and the attractive actors. They represent the very corporations who took your insurance premium dollars and who are now profiting by limiting what they pay out on your claim.

The attorneys at Bergman, Bergman, Fields & Lamonsoff LLP know all the rules because we have been representing injured people for decades. Call us. The consultation is free and the information is invaluable.
