Injury cases in Plainview

Plainview's injury cases are shaped by its industrial park — one of the larger concentrations of warehousing, light manufacturing and distribution in Nassau County, sitting immediately off the Long Island Expressway at Exit 46. Loading docks, forklifts, pallet racking and box-truck traffic produce a steady volume of work injuries, and the LIE service roads and Old Country Road produce the collisions.
  1. 01

Almost every warehouse injury starts as a workers' compensation claim, and comp pays for treatment and part of the wages and nothing for pain and suffering. The question that changes the outcome is whether anyone other than the employer contributed: the building owner, a delivery company whose driver was unloading, the manufacturer of a machine with a defeated guard, the contractor who installed the racking. Those are separate third-party lawsuits that run alongside the comp file.

  2. 02

Residential Plainview adds the ordinary mix — Manetto Hill Road, Woodbury Road, school and commuter traffic.

Nassau cases are filed in Mineola.

No complaints at all. Everything went according to what they said and I’m thankful for their representation.

If there was more than 5 stars Seth Fields and his associates would get them all. Mr. FIelds went to trial with a jury in Suffolk Cty Riverhead Supreme Ct & won w/ a verdict in minutes for 100% Liability. The defense worked with Mr. FIelds in a settlement before the damages trial began. I would stop here searching any further & contact Seth Fields if you want a Smart, Attainable for your questions, concerns, Empathetic to your needs but a Bull Dog with your case, then you found your attorney.I can’t thank you enough for all your long hours, weekends, holidays that you put into 7 yrs of all my medical, motions, hearings & trial etc. WE WON! You did it and obtained a large settlement that I couldn’t be more happy after this long tough journey. I would refer everyone to you that has a case that needs fighting for. 🙏

The most amazing, professional and knowledgeable with great communicators with injury law, and I highly recommend that there is no reason for second and third opinions on procuring a law firm with their experience and know how. They are second to none. My time was precious, and they respected every minute of it. Thank you!

I was hurt by a forklift at work.
File the comp claim, and then look hard at who else was involved — the forklift's owner or lessor if it was not your employer's, a maintenance contractor, the manufacturer if a safety device failed. Those claims are where compensation for pain and suffering comes from.
My employer says I cannot sue.
You generally cannot sue your employer, and that is what comp is for. You can sue a third party — another company on the site, a driver, a property owner, a manufacturer. Those are different defendants, not a lawsuit against your employer.
Will this affect my job?
Retaliation for filing a comp claim is prohibited in New York. If it happens, tell us — it is a separate problem with its own remedies.
